Inspired by the German Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, my Black Forest Cake consists of moist chocolate Génoise sponges layered with a rich cherry compote, dark chocolate ganache and Chantilly cream. The perfect celebration cake and one of my customers' favourites.
Ingredients: plain flour, cocoa powder, eggs, caster sugar, butter, black cherry purée, pitted cherries in syrup, cornflour, whipping cream, icing sugar, vanilla bean paste, dark chocolate, glazed cherries.
